My husband and I had one wish. For the longest time we so badly wanted a beautiful healthy baby. After going through countless days and nights with fertility appointments, injections, and treatments, we were so scared, nervous, anxious, yet so extremely excited all at the same time. We had so many mixed emotions throughout this journey but would not have made it through it all without Dr. Cherry, Dr. Floyd and the rest of his staff. Dr. Cherry is one of a kind. He is kind hearted, generous, and such a knowledgeable provider. They call him “the baby whisperer” for a reason! He instantly knows how to put you at ease and I whole-heartedly trust him in providing care for my baby and I throughout this whole process. Dr. Floyd is absolutely amazing as well. I connected with her instantly. She has a glowing personality and it is obvious she was meant for this profession as it shows through her compassion in helping others. She is genuine and always takes her time with me during my treatments and always doing her best to make me comfortable. I never felt like just “a patient” in this practice. I want to give a shoutout to Sylvia for being such an awesome office receptionist. She always has a smile on her face and always tries to accommodate my hectic schedule. This office treats you like family and I cannot tell you how many times I was so excited each week to give them updates on my progress throughout our fertility journey. After three miscarriages within a year, my husband and I were anxious for things to go differently. We were now classified as having “recurring pregnancy loss” and I hoped that something like acupuncture would help my body sustain another pregnancy. I met with Dr. Cherry and he spent time listening to my story and talking with me about his practice. He advised me to begin acupuncture treatments weekly and put me on some herbal supplements as well. The idea was that he would make sure blood flow to my uterus was healthy and sufficient and that the rest of my body was functioning as well as possible. At the same time, we began seeing a fertility doctor who eventually recommended I have a hysteroscopy procedure to look at and clear out my uterus (all of our tests had shown we were both healthy and fertile). About five months after I began seeing Dr. Cherry, and two months after my hysteroscopy procedure, I became pregnant naturally again. Dr. Cherry switched my herbs to a special formula to help prevent miscarriage. I continued to see him every week until my second trimester. Then I began seeing him monthly. Now we are about six weeks away from meeting our baby girl! Through this whole process, Dr. Cherry has been optimistic and supportive. He always takes time to make sure I am comfortable and well. The few times I saw his fellow practitioners, they were very professional and helpful as well. While we do not know for sure what has made this pregnancy any different, but I believe a large part of it has to do with Dr. Cherry’s methods and support. I would recommend his practice to anyone struggling to conceive or maintain a pregnancy!

My husband and I didn’t decide to have children until I was 40 due to my prior health history. I was very fortunate to be able to get pregnant, and we wanted another baby. We tried for one year before I got pregnant but I unfortunately miscarried that pregnancy. We continued to try to conceive naturally but without success. We consulted with a reproductive endocrinologist who told us that we had a 1-3% chance of conceiving naturally and that even if I did conceive I would have a 50-60% chance of miscarriage. Further, I was not a candidate for clomid and doing IUI with or without medications would maybe increase our chance by a couple percent; our best option was to do IVF with a donor egg. My husband and I decided that we weren’t comfortable doing any fertility treatments; the RE suggested acupuncture if we were going to continue to try naturally.
I started treatment with Dr. Cherry in January of 2011. He did a very thorough history and was frank with me that my chances weren’t great but he thought that acupuncture might be able to help improve my odds. He gave me a wonderful book that recommended some dietary and lifestyle changes and prescribed some herbs. I made some modifications to my diet but primarily I significantly increased my fruit and vegetable intake. I have a rare and serious auto immune disease and I was impressed that he educated himself on the specifics of my condition and adjusted his treatments accordingly. I was probably a challenging patient because my body often responded to the herbs and treatment in ways that were not expected. He adapted and revised my treatment program as needed and when something wasn’t working he always seemed to come up with a creative alternative solution.

I got pretty discouraged many times throughout my treatment and he was always such a wise and calm force. He never told me that pregnancy was guaranteed but without many words he helped me to find peace with whatever the outcome might be and I was able to start restoring some balance in my life. After 7 months of treatment I got pregnant! I am now 25 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. All tests and ultrasounds indicate that she is healthy and the pregnancy is going great. I will be 45 years old when I deliver her. I am so thankful to Dr. Cherry for his skill, patience, wisdom, encouragement and support. I would highly recommend him and his skilled, knowledgeable and kind staff.

I cannot speak highly enough about the level of care that Dr. Cherry provided to me before, during and after our twin pregnancy. From the intake appointment through lactation issues postpartum, he was a cherished part of our “team”, as I refer to them, and I know that he played an intricate part of our successful pregnancy and birth.

My appointments were relaxing and I always left feeling we were doing all we could to keep our babies safe and healthy. I had 3 miscarriage prior to receiving Dr. Cherry’s treatment and when my IVF clinic mentioned the possibility of acupuncture, I was willing to take whatever steps were necessary – – this was what was necessary for us.

I began seeing Dr. Cherry after miscarrying our first pregnancy and three failed IUI’s. We were heading into our first IVF and I read that acupuncture can often help increase your chances of getting pregnant. I had very little experience with acupuncture. My grandmother had used it several times for arthritis, but I had no idea there were fertility benefits.

My first meeting with Dr. Cherry completely put me at ease. I was not afraid of the needles, he answered all my silly questions about why this point? Why that? What is up with all the pulses? Overall, I felt very comfortable and relaxed in his care. I saw Dr. Cherry once a week for 2 months leading up to my IVF. At 40 years old, I was anxious knowing odds were not in my favor, but acupuncture seemed to ease that anxiety. My side affects from the medications were reduced (I suffered from headaches very badly with the last three rounds) and my overall attitude going into the stressful IVF process was less than with our previous, less invasive procedures. My husband commented several times about how calm and relaxed I was (and if you know me…these are not adjectives usually used to describe me).

Our first IVF resulted in a good number of follicles and a good transfer of 3 embryos. I did get pregnant, but sadly… lost the pregnancy very early. These things cannot be stopped if they are meant to be. But I did acupuncture before and after transfer and it was wonderful.

We continued to see Dr. Cherry as we decided on our next steps. One more try…that was the answer. And this time I needed acupuncture even more as this was the LAST attempt. That along increased the anxiety level. But once again….my weekly appointments calmed me, gave me hope and kept me centered. We sailed through the procedures, continued the acupuncture and had a wonderful outcome. Once my pregnancy test was positive, I saw Dr. Cherry once per week for the 1st trimester and once per month for the remainder of the pregnancy. He helped me with swelling, back pain, nausea and to relieve my stress and fear about another miscarriage. Overall….a fantastic experience and I have since recommended him to anyone I know who needs help conceiving.

Fast forward 2 years later and we are back. We decided to adopt embryos and do a frozen embryo transfer to grow our family. I would not even consider doing and fertility treatments anymore without including acupuncture. And this time, we sailed through and got pregnant on the first try. But…the first several weeks were scary with spotting and questionable ultrasounds. I was a wreck emotionally and looked forward to my weekly (and sometimes biweekly) appointments as they calmed my nerves and put me at ease. We are now anxiously awaiting the birth of our 2nd child and I enjoy my monthly visits to see Dr. Cherry.

Not only would I recommend acupuncture for anyone struggling with infertility… but specifically I would recommend Dr. Cherry and his phenomenal staff. They feel like family to us and we miss them when we are not here regularly.

Our path to conceiving a child wasn’t the easy road we expected it to be. However, it was made much easier by Dr. Cherry and his staff. After trying to conceive for more than a year, we discovered that my cycles were very abnormal and that we also had male fertility issues, which meant that IVF was our only chance at conceiving the child we so desperately wanted. A close friend who had also been through IVF recommended that I go to Dr. Cherry for acupuncture prior to and during the IVF process. I didn’t know much about acupuncture before that but thought I would give it a try. Dr. Cherry’s bedside manner and calming spirit immediately put me at ease and helped me relax during what is a very emotionally draining and physically stressful process.
Within weeks, my cycles became more regular and my usual monthly issues, like terrible cramps, went away. Although our first IVF was unsuccessful, I continued to visit Dr. Cherry in preparation for another attempt. Those visits not only helped prepare my body to go through the process again, but helped me heal and deal with the pain of our first attempt not succeeding. It all paid off in the end when we found out we are expecting twins!

I have continued to visit Dr. Cherry throughout my pregnancy and his treatments really helped with my morning sickness, back issues and other pregnancy woes. I cannot stress how much I appreciate all he has done to help my husband and I realize our dream of having children. I truly don’t believe this all would have come together without him.

I don’t know where to start besides a big Thank you to Dr. Cherry and your staff for giving my husband and I our special gift. After being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome after trying to conceive I was told fertility medication would be the only way for us to have children. We decided to try pills and after 7 failed rounds and being told injections was the only way I found Dr. Cherry online by faith. I began treatment in October of 2009 and enjoyed every moment and became very close to Dr. Cherry and Val. They gave me constant hope and positive feelings at every moment of my journey. After 5 months of treatment I decided I needed a personal break from all of the baby things after no successful ovulation, Little did I know I had ovulated and became pregnant!!! 1 week after I found out I called Dr. Cherry and told him the amazing news, I think we were both shocked. I had not ovulated in 14 months and through all of Dr. Cherry’s expertise and determination here I am 15 weeks pregnant with the most precious gift anyone can ever receive. When you feel all of your hope and prayers have failed you; having that special person(s) to guide you through day to day and give you positive energy and a sense of well being can change your life. That is what Dr. Cherry has done for me. I will forever be grateful…

My husband and I started trying to get pregnant when I was 37. Nothing happened after a couple years of trying, and then I went for fertility shots for two months in a row. We didn’t conceive. However, a couple months later, we were overjoyed when we discovered that we were pregnant. Sadly, we miscarried our first baby at 7 weeks. We got pregnant the following month with our Daughter, and we were devastated when our beautiful little girl was stillborn at 35 weeks. She had a hole in her heart. It would be impossible for us to explain the magnitude of such a loss, so we won’t try. We will only say that there are no words to explain how much we love and miss our little girl. She gave us many gifts, though, and we believe that she watches over us.
With our history, we were scared and lost, and we didn’t know if we would ever realize the miracle of having a baby who would live. We tried to get pregnant, and we were unsuccessful for almost a year, so we decided that we should probably try the fertility shots again. There was a specific Doctor at the Clinic who we wanted to see, as he had been very helpful and had given us hope. He was out of town, so we decided to wait for his return. The Clinic mentioned that while we were waiting that we might want to consider acupuncture, as it had been very helpful to others. They gave us the number for Dr. Cherry’s office, and we think that moment changed the course of our lives.

When we called Dr. Cherry’s office, we felt like we were really going to get the help that we needed. I was given the most amazing care by everyone that I encountered there. We are thrilled and happy (again beyond what words can describe) that we now have a Son who is 10 months old, and he is “happy and healthy, living long and prospering, SUPERBABY!” That was our mantra that we came up with to encourage us when we tried to get pregnant again. More on that later…

When I started getting the acupuncture, I learned that I could by many different factors improve the quality of my eggs, increase my chances of getting pregnant, and increase my chances of staying pregnant. I went to three months of acupuncture, slipped in one round of shots at the fertility clinic, and got pregnant after about 5 months total of acupuncture. When we got the “number” to tell how strong the pregnancy was, Dr. Cherry said something to the effect of …well, with that kind of a number, you either have twins or a super strong pregnancy. After that, we started calling our baby Superbaby, and he is a super baby. He is so happy, healthy, and full of life. He has recently started walking. When we look at him, the love that we have for him takes our breath away. He is perfect; we think that maybe his Sister had a hand in picking him out for us. We are so, so blessed with this amazing gift, and honored to be his parents. I gave birth to him when I was 42, and I went to acupuncture for the whole pregnancy, with my wonderful husband there at every visit. My Son’s birth was beautiful and easy; even though, he was just over 9lbs! Dr. Cherry started preparing me for the birth towards the last few weeks by changing the treatment procedure.

We have had so many beautiful people help us on our journey…friends, family, Sharing Parents (the support group that we started going to after our Daughter passed; we are still involved with them as volunteers), other Doctors, even strangers…and Dr. Cherry and everyone at his office.

The visits to Dr. Cherry’s office were also helpful emotionally and for relaxation, and the kindness that we received there was amazing. Most of all, though, we honestly believe that the acupuncture is what made all the difference for us to have a healthy baby, and for that we will be eternally grateful.

If you are thinking of going to Dr. Cherry’s office DO IT; we think that it is the best chance that you have. If you have had losses, we are so, so sorry. If our story gives just one of the people who read this hope, our job here is done, except to say Thank you a million times to Dr. Cherry and everyone at his office.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we got pregnant with our son on our very first try. When we decided to have another child, I knew that it might not happen the first time, but never thought we would be trying over a year and struggling with Secondary Infertility.
After my OB had me try clomid 4 times with no success, I was referred to an RE where he diagnosed me with PCOS. He told us that we would probably only get pregnant again if we used injectible medication + IUI. I was stunned because we didn’t have any problems conceiving our first child and now was told I would have to undergo very invasive and costly treatment in order to have a hope of having more children. After discussing it over, we decided to try other alternatives for 4-6 months before we jumped into the world of infertility drugs/treatment. A friend had mentioned that acupuncture can help with a plethora of things, including fertility.

I contacted Dr. Cherry’s office and decided to go through with a consult to see what he would suggest or if there was anything he could do to help. He was so warm and I really felt at ease. He was very optimistic about my situation; however, did not make any promises. He said that he would suggest acupuncture for 4-6 mo, but if I still was not pregnant to look back into the fertility treatments. I was very happy with his suggestion because it was exactly what my husband and I had agreed upon earlier. We started treatment right away, at the beginning of Aug. and I felt so relaxed and could feel my attitude AND body changing…inside and out. I had not had any kind of a cycle since the end of May and by Oct. 1st (only 2 months of seeing Dr. Cherry) I had my first period in almost 5 months. I never thought I would be so happy about that, but it was the 1st outward sign that my body was doing what it was supposed to. I felt like it was a start…but was ECSTATIC to find out it was the start of something much more…I got pregnant that 1st cycle!! We welcomed our baby girl July 12, 2011!

There are not enough kind things that I could say about Dr. Cherry, Ariele, and Val. The entire staff is so warm and you can feel how much they care and are invested in each of their patients. I looked forward to each of my visits (I am POSITIVE I have never said that about any of my doctors) and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Dr. Cherry does not only treat your specific problem, but you as a whole person. I loved my experience with Dr. Cherry and know that when we try for our 3rd child I will be excited to have Dr. Cherry by my side and helping me along the way.

My husband and I decided to start trying for our first child just after our 2 year anniversary. We were both 28 and thought it may take a few months, but weren’t really sure. We found out about 6 months in that I was not ovulating. My doctor put me on Clomid to stimulate ovulation. After the first two rounds with nothing happening, I became quite discouraged. Someone gave me Dr. Cherry’s name so I decided it was worth a try. I started seeing Dr. Cherry in September 2010. I got a positive ovulation test by November and was so excited! After my 1st failed IVF and doing research on my own on the benefits of using acupuncture alongside Assisted Reproductive Technology, I reached out to Dr. Cherry’s office. Hesitant at first of what it would be like to receive acupuncture treatments, I was immediately put at ease by Dr. Cherry and his associates’ professionalism and care to make me feel comfortable. In the weeks and months ahead, I began to experience and feel a difference in my body as I prepared for a 2nd attempt at IVF. On the day of my transfer, one of Dr. Cherry’s associates met me at my IVF clinic and completed a treatment immediately before and after my transfer. I felt more relaxed and prepared this time in part because of using acupuncture alongside my doctor’s expertise. That IVF cycle was successful and I’m now expecting a baby any day! I continued throughout my pregnancy with acupuncture treatments and I know it has helped me maintain a healthy and flawless pregnancy. I honestly do not think I would have had the success I had without the help of Dr. Cherry and his associates. I highly recommend them all!

After experiencing the loss of 2 of my babies, one in my 2nd trimester and one in my first trimester, I was extremely depressed and in need of some answers to why I had these repeated losses. My OBGYN had suggested that I go to a local fertility clinic to begin a large array of tests which ended up leading me to more anxiety and stress, and was costly.

Many of the tests came back normal with the exception of a low antral folical count which was most likely due to my maternal age of 38. It was recommended that we do FSH injections which my husband and I weren’t comfortable with so we decided to try a different approach to getting pregnant. Dr. Cherry was recommended to us by friends who we met from a local infant loss support group. I didn’t know much about acupuncture, but was willing to try something different and less envasive to getting pregnant.

When I first met Dr. Cherry, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism and his throroughness during my assessment. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I had so many questions about acupuncture and he answered all of them and explained them completely. He was very understanding of my situation and showed true empathy for the losses that my husband and I experienced. After I was given a diagnosis, I was placed on a program that consisted of taking herbs, changing my diet and having acupuncture treatments. I was amazed at how I began feeling better both physically and emotionally after only several treatments. I was thrilled when I got pregnant naturally in only 5 months after my 2nd loss. I went for weekly treatments until the end of my first trimester and then monthly sessions for the remainder of the pregnancy. The treatments that I received during my pregnancy helped my overall being. I felt less nauseated and more optimistic about the pregnancy. I would always look forward to my appointments knowing that I would have a chance to relax and I always left the office feeling better than when I went in. At one point later in the pregnancy, I was diagnosed with syatica which I was told by my Doctor that I would most likely have during the rest of the pregnancy and may need to quit work early. I couldn’t walk without excruciating pain. After 2 sessions with Dr. Cherry, I had no pain and was able to walk again and continue working until I went on maternity leave.

I am now happy to say that we have a healthy baby boy who is one week old. I am so grateful for the care that I have received by Dr. Cherry and his staff. Thank you Dr. Cherry for helping make this pregnancy a success and for your caring approach towards my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Cherry and his colleagues to anybody who is struggling with fertility issues and wants to try a different approach to getting pregnant.

As with most women, starting at the age of 16 I spent my entire 20s preventing pregnancy. After I got married, my husband and I had The Big Talk about when to change that guest room in our house to a nursery. When the agreed upon time was here, I went off birth control and we were both giddy with the excitement of the year ahead of us. Fast-forward 12 months, 30 negative pregnancy tests, one hypothyroid diagnosis and one miscarriage later, our excitement had given way to despair. All hopes had vanished and I was reduced to tears with every pregnancy announcement or baby shower invitation I received in the mail. My OB/GYN referred us to a fertility specialist, but their first appointment wasn’t for 3 months. With the loving support of my husband, we decided to look into what else we could do to take control of the situation. I had used acupuncture in high school to control allergies, so I already knew the many healing properties it can have. After a quick Google search, I found Dr. Cherry. I immediately started weekly appointments with Dr. Cherry. After my husband and I met with the fertility specialist, Dr. Cherry worked alongside my western medicine doctors to support us through our first IUI cycle. Two weeks after the completion of the IUI cycle, the results were in: Pregnant! That was 37 weeks ago. Throughout the pregnancy, I have continued to see Dr. Cherry. He has continued to support me by treating morning sickness, heartburn, swelling and most recently mucous membrane swelling that caused my ears to get congested and infected. As I enter my 9th month of pregnancy, I’m so thankful that I found Dr. Cherry. I strongly recommend him to all my friends whether they are having fertility issues like I did or not. Even those who get pregnant easily could benefit from working with Dr. Cherry for the various physical changes that accompany pregnancy. My husband and I are expecting our little boy in 3 weeks and we are forever thankful to Dr. Cherry for helping us start our family.

What can I say about Dr. Cherry? I am not a woman of few words so let me tell you all my story and how I came to see Dr. Cherry. When I first tried getting pregnant at the age of 32, I thought I would have no problems. Little did I know that I would suffer from 3 miscarriages and would end up at a fertility clinic. This was in December of 2003 and I was desperate for answers. I ended up having multiple surgeries within my uterus which left my endometrium very thin from all of the scar tissue. I had a baby, via fertility treatment, in Oct. of 2005. I had a very hard delivery and ended up having surgery after my daughter was born. When my husband and I decided to have another baby we went back to the fertility clinic. I had another surgery and then tried fertility treatments three times, each time it failed.

After thousands of dollars and much sadness, my fertility doctor told me that my chances of getting and staying pregnant were very small due to the fact that I had a very thin endometirum from all of the scar tissue in my uterus and that fertilized eggs would have a hard time sticking and embedding itself into the wall of my uterus. I had basically given up. I decided that I should feel blessed, and I did, with a healthy 2 year old girl. That was when my best friend told me to go and see Dr. Cherry. He had helped her get pregnant and he could help me too.

I figured, what the heck. It was worth a try. How blessed I was to have been afforded the opportunity to be one of Dr. Cherry’s patients. Dr. Cherry saw me once a week and he really took the time to find out what it was that was causing me to not be able to get and stay pregnant. He developed a personalized herb regimen for me to follow that would help with my specific fertility issues. Through his weekly treatments and daily herbal program, I began to gain the confidence that not all hope was lost. I had been trying for over a year to get pregnant, spent a ton of money and was injecting myself with so many fertility drugs it makes my head spin. Once I gave that up and followed exactly what Dr. Cherry told me to do, I felt a burden had been lifted from my shoulders. I remember having a conversation with Dr. Cherry after about 3 months of treatment. I asked him if he really and truly thought there was hope for me. He looked me in the eye and said, “I absolutely know there is hope for you. If I didn’t you would not be here. If it ever comes to a point where I feel this is not going to work, I will let you know, but we are no where near there right now.” That was in March of 2008.

I found out I was pregnant on May 7th 2008 and I gave birth to a very healthy baby boy on December 29th, 2008. I saw Dr. Cherry throughout my entire pregnancy. I got pregnant on my own with no fertility treatment and I stayed pregnant! How truly fortunate I was to have been one of Dr. Cherry’s patients. To anyone that has lost hope or given up, I tell them to see Dr. Cherry! I will be 40 years old this year and I do not plan on having more children so now I just have to stop by every once in a while to see Dr. Cherry as I do miss our weekly visits!
